DSJ Marquees – Terms and Conditions of Hire
These Terms and Conditions govern the hire of marquees and associated equipment from DSJ Marquees ("we", "our", "us") by the customer ("you", "your"). By placing a booking, you agree to be bound by the following:

1. Booking and Deposit
1.1 A booking is only confirmed once a deposit has been received.
1.2 The deposit secures your event date and will be deducted from the final balance.
1.3 The remaining balance is due on the day of setup, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

2. Cancellations and Refunds
2.1 Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking will receive a full refund, including the deposit.
2.2 After 48 hours, the deposit becomes non-refundable, unless due to exceptional circumstances such as a family bereavement (evidence may be required).
2.3 If you cancel after this period, you may still be liable for additional costs if we have already incurred expenses on your behalf.

3. Hire Equipment
3.1 Items available for hire include marquees, tables, chairs, carpet, and chandelier lighting.
3.2 All items always remain the property of DSJ Marquees.
3.3 You are responsible for the safekeeping and appropriate use of all hired equipment.

4. Delivery and Setup
4.1 Delivery and collection times will be confirmed in advance.
4.2 You must ensure the site is level, accessible, and clear of obstructions prior to setup.
4.3 Any delays caused by access issues may result in additional charges or incomplete setup.

5. Damage, Loss and Cleaning
5.1 You are liable for any loss of or damage to hired items during the hire period.
5.2 Charges will apply to cover repair or replacement of any item(s) damaged, lost or stolen.
5.3 Basic cleaning is included. Excessive mess, staining or misuse may result in an additional cleaning fee.

6. Insurance and Liability
6.1 DSJ Marquees holds Public Liability Insurance, providing cover for accidents or injuries caused by our equipment or staff negligence.
6.2 You are responsible for ensuring the safety of your guests during the event.
6.3 We are not liable for any injury or damage resulting from misuse of the hired items, or for circumstances outside our control (e.g. extreme weather).

7. General
7.1 All hired items must be returned in the condition they were provided.
7.2 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
7.3 Any variations to these terms must be agreed in writing.
